About Harrisburg Area Roller Derby

We are Pennsylvania's premier roller derby league, established in 2006. Harrisburg Area Roller Derby was formed in 2006 by a group of driven and passionate community members who bonded over the sport of roller derby. It became the founding WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) league in Central Pennsylvania. We have touched the lives of many women and have given them an outlet to do something empowering for themselves. When not practicing or participating in bouts, skaters often partner with local businesses and area non-profits to raise awareness, volunteer time, and gather donations that go back into the community and support causes in-line with HARD’s mission. Our skaters also volunteer their time and talents to take part in running a portion of the league itself, as it is all skater-run.
